Every 3-4 months there is a gathering of the best kind. Deals are made, treasures are found and fun is had. It's a place where repurposing is at it's finest and it's best to come with a Uhaul in tow. UNL holds this auction quarterly to sell off things the school no longer has need for. And lucky for us they happen to be full of amazing finds and pieces that are worth your drive to the middle of the Midwest. Click through the jump to check out our 35 photo tour of the last auction that happened just before Christmas.

The auctions are always posted in advance with a complete bill of sale. Things must be removed by the end of the weekend and paid for the day of sale.
It's a long process (think 3-4 hours) but there are always desks, chairs, bikes, shelving, computers, lockers and more. Click the link below to take you through a tour of the things that were up for grabs (don't forget to put on your repurposing hats!)

Don't live near UNL? Check with the college near you, chances are they hold the same events for the same reasons. As schools upgrade with furniture and equipment all the old has to go somewhere.... hopefully it can be your house!
