Best Tip For Dealing With An Oddly Placed Window

We shared Joe and Kristin's Craftsman house tour with you yesterday and wanted to point out how the couple handled an oddly placed window in their bedroom. Since the only bare wall in the room was too small to

accommodate their bed (also built by Joe), they decided to make a new "bare" wall. They hung a a floor-to-ceiling curtain along the length of wall that had the window. Since the window was off centered and they have a study right off their room with many windows and natural light, they didn't mind covering it. Up went the curtain and a new home for their bed and side tables was created. This Apartment Therapy best tip is a nice, affordable fix for a common layout challenge - fitting all of your furniture into a room.
