Attention fans of Michelle Kaufmann and fans of prefab design! And, also, fans of really beautiful photos ... We've got a book to suggest for you: Prefab Green by Michelle Kaufmann and Cathy Remick.

It's no secret that we're big fans of Michelle Kaufmann's beautiful prefab homes (the Sunset Breezehouse, the mkLotus, and the Glidehouse just to name a few ..). So it's probably no big surprise that a book full of huge photos of the interiors and exteriors of all of her designs, along with a history of her work, is right up our alley.

Prefab Green ($19.80) is really a look back over Michelle Kaufmann's architectural career thus far, which is incredibly fascinating given than her name is nearly synonymous with green prefab.

Throughout the book, Kaufmann also shares her thoughts on the definition of sustainable design:

"We need to rethink how we work and how we build, and let sustainability be our guide. We must think deeply about our designs but execute and install them simply, without waste and without damage to the land."

For anyone who ever wanted to know more about Michelle Kaufmann or sustainable design in general, this book is a wealth of information ... and total prefab eye candy.
