Cheri & David's Creative Loft

We are always looking for inspirational interiors, especially the ones that seem lived-in, not staged, and showcase an array of loved and hand-picked objects. We definitely collect too much stuff, so it is great to see a space that manages to still look creative, airy, and organized. The warm tones of the brick walls and wooden floors make this loft feel very inviting. Since the Bay Area has so many new and converted lofts, it is great to get some inspiration for decorating high-ceiling, open spaces. Check out more photos after the jump...

Cheri Messerli and David Rager are the creative minds behind this amazing space. We absolutely love the beautiful origami crane mobile and the cluster of paper lanterns over the bed. The wooden bookshelf provides extra storage and it is a smart way to divide the loft and create the bedroom without breaking up the flow of the open space. The simple ladder effortlessly blends with the decor of the apartment itself and we could see it being very useful in a space with high ceilings.

The collection of framed photos, silhouette art, and drawings seems randomly put together, but as a whole it fits perfectly with the rest of the decor. We also love the office area screened off with a simple white sheet divider.

From the Selby's website we have learned that the couple is moving to LA. We would love to see what they will do in their new home in California.

If you love the crane mobile as much as we do, check out another origami mobile that we featured on AT before.
