apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

July is Pet Month!

071006pups.jpgWe know you're proud of your pets, but how proud are you of your pet décor? We're looking for fabulous ideas and smart solutions to the ways your pets live in your home.

Janel and I are excited about this month's contest, My Design's Dreamy, and getting to know how well-styled your Chicago pets are. Also, if you have an excellent store or service idea for us to blog, please send it our way (our home is human only, so we need to know what's out there!). Now, we're curious:

I have an orange boy cat and a gray and orange girl cat. He's insanely chubby and she's dainty as a tea cup - brother and sister and only 4 months old.

I'm the only with an other so far, which is a little box turtle which we let roam free around the house. She loves worms and strawberries!

I've a snowshoe cat (according to the shelter), Sienna, named after one of the cities we traveled to for our honeymoon (we got her a month after we got back from our trip!). if she had been a dark colored cat i wanted to name her Chianti!

I don't have a cat. I have deux chats! One is a grey Maine Coon and the other a tiny gray tabby. They get allong great and I just love them to death! My sis has a tutle that resonds to her voice by scurrying around in his bowl. It's really cool.

One of my cats, Birdman, was featured in an Apt. Therapy house tour. He was such a ham when Janel came over to take photos. Click on my name to see the star.

My other cat, Mille, is a pear-shaped darling but she plays shy a lot and hid under my bed during the tour. Smart of her because I don't think Janel had any intention of snapping of photo of that underworld.

Well,
It's funny because we have a dog (Orange who was featured in our house tour) and two fish Lucky and Bruce Lee (a beta and a grommie) In the last week we added two Geckos. Our sons reward for a great job in first grade. We actually bought one and adopted the other. They are mostly nocturnal so not so much fun. Yes there's more ..Then, on Sunday morn. as Emmett was watering outside a little blue parakeet jumped over to him from the street. Our neighbor just happened to have a cage and now it's a bit like a zoo around here? Does anyone want a lovely little bird? Oy....

Not to be a party pooper, but I don't have any pets in the city - not enough time at home or money to spend. Please keep posting regular apartment stuff this month too!
