This one's been on our list for ages! We'd first visited Praha when it opened three years ago and loved it. Although initially confused by the mix of antiques with new goods, we soon realized that this combination reflects exactly the way we live, so why not center a shop around the same notion.

That's exactly what the owners of Praha did. Todd and David blend their love of salvaged goods with their vision of newly created and custom painted furniture. These new pieces are all made near Prague (Praha is the Czech word for Prague).

The shop also holds a wide array of new items for an eclectic home (kitchenware, decorative accessories, you name it) alongside antique Czech signage hanging on the walls. During our most recent visit, we spoke with Todd, who said that business is booming. He is committed to fair prices, and finds that the turnaround on items is fast because the stock is always new and different, which piques curiosity.

Of the prices we checked out, they seemed far lower than what we expected. A large antique cabinet with exquisite detail ran $220 and we spotted a sweet black side table for $80. Of the new pieces: chairs are near the $500 mark, while a newly painted armoire is close to $1200.

Reviews, thoughts, highlights, anyone??

Jessica and I stopped in here once about a year ago or so. It was way cute and if my memory serves me correctly, the prices were rather reasonable. I'm going to have to go check it out again. Thanks for the reminder Heather!

I love this shop - the owners have great eyes and their prices are very reasonable. Very unique items and loads of fun vintage kitchen pieces.
