Third Drawer Down

The dialogue between art and everyday life is a goal of the Third Drawer Down project. Run from a gallery located in Victoria, Australia, artists (like Camilla Engman, above) design screen prints for high quality linen domestic goods created and sold as limited editions.

The pillowcases are new, just coming out this month and feature screenprints and embroidery. Another great design, by Lilli Hartman:

They also produce and present tea towels and other home-friendly goodies, such as "artkerchiefs", "artprons", "bupkins" and "lapkins".

Lots more to see at Third Drawer Down.

I am a proud owner of one of the teatowels - they are very gorgeous in the flesh, but I can't bring myself to use them as purposed. But they are very very nice.....
