Hi - I'm looking for a good pet sitter - anyone have any recommendations?

When will there be a Twin Cities AT?

Anyone know of any good online discussion forums for modern home building/remodelling/furniture?

I have a question. I just bought a Barcelona table for $125 on craig's wonderful list. When I got it home, I looked underneath to see if there was a stamp, and to my surprise there was a K and a P stamped into the steel at the intersection of the legs. It's all one piece and I love it regardless, but I was wondering if it's an authentic Knoll Barcelona Table. Can someone advise me on this?

I was in New York recently and was completely taken by the cut flowers available everywhere. Especially, what appeared to be cut stems of cotton. I did an internet search and have come up short. Does anyone know the technical name for this and a source for it?

Hi Megan,
Call Kari from That Girl at 312-320-4475. She does a lot of pet sitting and other errand running for high end clients. Very reliable.

Our vinyl, double hung thermal windows in the bathroom have a broken seal so they're now cloudy and gross. We were told by the manufacturer to "remove them" and bring them in to get resealed. Has anyone ever removed them? They tilt in to clean, but it's not clear how to remove, and no, the manufacturer for some reason can't explain.
thanks

Has anyone else had a problem when ordering from the AT store? Or know how to contact someone at the store?

I am having a shipping problem with an item I ordered for xmas. I have tried to email maxwell and the store email address, but received messages that Maxwell is away till the 8th (a long time to wait, as that I was supposed to receive the item before xmas).

Anyone have any suggestios?

Christine:
The AT store is based in the NY office, so I can't look into the shipping situation for you directly, but I will pass on your name and let Maxwell know about your comment here and your emails when I speak to him next (which should be before the 8th).

David, once you tilt the windows in, they should be attached to the slider via a pin on each site. Typically, you can just twist one side of the window up to pop out the pin and then just slide out the pin from the other side.

Do the reverse to re-install.

Does anybody know where I can buy a Fat Boy bean bag chair in Chicago?

I've seen them on line but want to test drive it first.

I have a fatboy. I just ordered it from Design Public because I couldn't find a retailer in Chicago. On Ohio St. just east of Franklin there's a business that has several orange FatBoys lined up in their windows. I'm not sure if it's the kind of place you can just walk into, but it's the only place I've seen them. They're great though. It's my favorite seat in the house.

Good luck.

Darrel - Thanks, I'll try that.

Thanks Mellisa.

You would think somebody somewhere in this huge city would sell Fat Boys.

Hi - I am looking for an area rug runner for an especially long hallway (2.5' x 11').

I have very modern taste and would prefer something fairly simple (not really a fan of oriental rugs). I have looked into having carpet bound but there is a big difference with the fibers between carpet and area rugs.

Does anyone know where i could find something simple in that size and reasonably affordable. many thanks!

hey, i live in a really amazing apt, but since it's a victorian, things are always needing repaired. anyway, the landlords are nice, but the mechanics are real morons.

the hot water in my bathroom looks like milk for about a month now. the guy looked at it & said he didn't know how to fix it & laughed. then, he had the nerve to tell me that CALCIUM WAS GOOD FOR ME.

i'm in columbus, what would you do? i'm gonna take a bottle of the water to the office.

Danny who needs an area rug, have you looked at FLOR modular carpet tiles? You can design your own, they have some great modern colors and patterns (not affiliated, just a fan).

The place on Franklin St. that has the Fatboys in the window is not a retail store....its actually the EA Games' Chicago office (top video game company)....each time i go past there, something new and awesome is in the window....i wish someone would post a tour of their office cause it looks amazing both architecturally and design wise, and also full of every tech gadget imaginable!
