...oversized, it manages to straddle the line between traditional and modern.

Based on a classic geometric woven pattern called Vienna Straw, Urquiola has blown it up to a massive scale and used it to wrap very modern, high sided, rounded steel structures. Accented by bold pillows in natural colors, it had a very neo-sixties, luxe hippie feel that we were digging.

The Canasta line (2007) includes all sorts of seating options from chaises to sofas to regular armchairs as well as tables in multiple sizes and heights.

What do you think? Fabulous for poolside or too OTT for outdoors?
The top one kind of looks like a dog or cat bed.
But that's OK.
Since the dog has a bed that looks like a sofa:

Or vaguely like an Eames lounge:

I can see curling up in that roundish form outside. But I might never leave it.

I greatly appreciate using the Vienna Straw weaving to make it feel comfortable and classic while still being "the next best thing."
It's probably a good thing my outdoor space can't hold all of these, or else my pocketbook might have to suffer the consequence.

Looks like something from the set of "Barbarella goes Granola"

Pretty sweet! Wish I had the cash and outdoor space to make it mine.

I absolutely adore these, especially the first one. It is such a comfy seating for outdoor space.
I actually love every piece of work by Patricia U.

Anybody knows the price for the one on first picture? The roundish chair.
