CHI Good Questions: Info on this Table?

2008-04-07-questiontable.jpgJoe in Chicago sent in a good question based on a photo from this post about a French architects loft. He says, "Because our small bedrooms necessitate using our actual dining room as a workspace, my roommate and I force double duty on the kitchen- it's for cooking and eating. The problem is my kitchen is long and narrow, and so I've been on the hunt for a small-ish round pedestal table. It seems "outdoor" tables are the way to go, and I've been considering the Pix Cafe Table from DWR, but I like this guy's table so much better....

they literally have a new bistro set that comes with a table at Ikea that looks just like that for $69.99 for the set.

the table is the same one i used to own in london, sold at habitat stores there. i recognize it by its offset legs which fold up flat, making it a great outdoor table as well as cafe table. maybe you could look up habitat, or conran to see if there is a US supplier/stockist.
best, M

The Company store sells a bistro set. One table, two chairs, $199. Four color choices.

It's called "French Bistro Tables and Chairs"

Jamel, I second Mirrielee: looks like the bistro table from Habitat (ROSSO). You'll find it here: http://www.habitat.fr/fcp/categorylist/browse/outdoor/tables/
They have it in orange, turquoise and other "happy" colors.
I have not seen it at The Conran Shop though.

Thanks for suggestions and pointing me in the direction of Habitat... anyone know if they'll ship to the US?

Thanks again!

Joe, I think this table is made by Fermob- a French company that makes amazing metal, outdoors pieces. This is likely their #6030 Tertio. Check out www.fermobusa.com for a dealer in your town or one that would ship to you.

On that website, you can see a picture of the table (24x29) under "Products: Occasional Pieces".

I love the table in the picture and I think this may be it. I'm thinking about purchasing one too.
