Richard Schultz Wing Collection

Richard Schultz, the man behind Knoll’s Leisure collection, has added a new line to his impressive oeuvre. Debuting last month at ICFF, Schultz's Wing Collection features tables and chairs which give a nod and a wink to the classic wing chair, but are all Schultz.

The new pieces in the Wing Collection, with their bold lines and strong color palette, are made from aluminum and available in five new metallic powder-coat finishes and 11 standard color finishes. The tables are available in four different styles and offered with teak, porcelain or bamboo table tops.

We love the almost poetic way these breathable chairs are described on the product Web site, "The traditional wing chair was designed to be drawn up to the hearth, protecting you from cold drafts while gathering the warming heat of the fire. We have updated this classic form for use in our outdoor rooms."

Who knew our backyard was an "outdoor room"?

We missed ICFF this year? Have any of you seen any of the Wing Collection in person, yet?

Definitely not his best work.

The tables look like a prison for midgets.

... or time out spaces for children and pets!

Actually, I could stand the tables and benches on my patio, but the chairs are just yucky.
