We just heard about this new Montana-based candle company and would like to give them a hearty high-five. Manly Man Candle Company is simple: they make candles and they make 'em for men.

Manly Man Candles
The scents, it turns out, aren't too different from candles you'd find in any boutique. Only Manly Man promotes their candles or "mandles" to appeal to the machismo in us all.
Perhaps you'll enjoy their woodsy scent ("The Hunting Lodge") or the fragrance of fresh cut grass ("Yardwork"). We laugh hardest at the thought of crisp mentholated "Sports Injury."
Check out their blog to see how this small business grew from the occasional farmers' market sale to a legitimate online store. Keep tuning in and you could be there when they finally perfect their next scent...beer.

So funny -- when my totally butch girlfriend moved into her old apartment I got her a scented candle because the place smelled weird. But because she rejects all things girly, I said "Here dear, I got you a mandle." It was an Henri Bendel candle in the very manly-smelling Firewood scent.

Bacon is the most man-centered scent out there, I think. But why not BBQ or Barnyard or New Car?

My friends are getting married soon and whilst looking through a gift shoppe she noticed a candle whose scent was "Wedding Day". He asked, "does it smell like fear with a hint of regret?" They argued the whole way home.
