Urban Outfitters Kashmir Tray

UOkasmirtrays-trio.jpgWhen we were a child, we visited our next door neighbor’s home quite often because – well, because she was always feeding us cake but mainly because she always had the most interesting things around her house.

From blown crystal "candy" to Kleenex box cozies with plastic rabbit faces on them; everything seemed so mysterious and exotic to our young mind. What we were truly in love with, however, was a set of round metal trays she had hanging on her wall. To us, they seemed to have from come from some fantastic, far off, ancient land.

UOkasmirtrays-duo.jpgWe found Urban Outfitter’s Round Kashmir Trays to be completely reminiscent of Mrs. Elmin’s fancy trays. The Kashmir Tray is 12.5” in diameter and comes in three different colors and floral patterns.

UO suggests you can use them for candles or organizing jewelry, but we think they are best suited for making an impression on young minds!

I like these and the green one would look dandy in my bedroom. But you can't choose your color preference. Boo.

Do they sell these in the brick & mortar stores?

Yeah, that's the only unfortunate part. It's a design crap shoot. :(

Wow, it really says on the website that they promise to pick one you'll love........ How odd.

I know $18 isn't a lot of money, but it's enough that I want to pick the one I like! Sheesh!

Let's cross our fingers that they're sold in stores...

Reporting in. My brick and mortar had exactly two -- on clearance. The black one above and the one I walked out with. I didn't check out the website to see what they might pick from for me. I like to pick myself. Check what I got: http://www.flickr.com/photos/24138971@N07/2478508254/in/photostream/
