Tile Vault: El Cardenal Palmas in Mexico City

9-24-08tilevault3.jpg

What: 1x1 tiles in a range of brown tones
Where: Bathroom at El Cardenal Palmas, Mexico City
Who: Designed by Pascal Arquitectos
Why: The color scheme in this Mexico City hotel bathroom seems so right for fall. We love the browns, which aren't at all boring, but work together to create a pixelated pattern that's far from neutral...

Designed by Pascal Arquitectos, it's a pattern that could be fairly simply recreated with a range of cream and brown 1x1 tiles. The colors are a nice compliment to the wood counters and white porcelain sinks - perfect for a bathroom decorated in natural tones. For more information on el Cardenal Palmas, see Pascal's projects.

I find it a little busy for my taste, but perhaps if something broke it up, like a large picture, it wouldn't confuse my eyes so much! :P

"El Cardenal" Palmas, is not a hotel, is a restaurant.
