Natural Linen Curtains

We spotted this lovely photo on Danny Seo's blog. Although we like almost everything he's done with his home-in-progress, we especially love his simple linen curtains...

Linen is a great material for window treatments, since it's lightweight and more loosely woven than some fabrics, allowing lots of sunlight to filter through while still providing privacy. A few sources for linen curtains: Crate and Barrel, Linens n' Things, or buy your own fabric and stitch them yourself.

I have line curtains in two rooms in my house and I love them. I got two pairs on sale at CB2 that are really soft and thin - more like linen sheers. And then I got a really heavy pair at IKEA that are undyed. These were really tough to iron and get wrinkle free. Plus I had to have them hemmed too.

I love the look of sun shining through linen drapes.

Good art supply stores also sell raw linen, in varying weights and widths.

I bought my linen curtains at target for the sheers in my bedroom and love them.
