Sometimes the best ideas are the simplest. I'm still in awe over this no-brainer, no-drill, super cheap trick for doubling closet space — a double-hanging closet rod. Here are three top versions for under $15...

The adjustable rack from Bed Bath and Beyond. It holds up to 40lbs, costs $14.99, and is adjustable up to 36" wide and 30" high.

The standard, no-frills solution from The Container Store measuring 30" wide x 34" high and costing $9.99

Organize It's simple, easy-to-adjust version for $7.99. 30" x 33.25" at it's biggest dimensions. The hooks on the side of the vertical rods are great for belts and purses. This version has graced my closet through 2 cramped-closet homes and I'm still pleased.
