Meg wants to organize her front entry, but at a more modest price:
Dear Apartment Therapy, I LOVE this hallway bench/shelf from Pottery Barn – but I don't love the price. Any ideas/pieces cheaper solution? -Meg

Meg, you might want to consider starting off with unfinished wood pieces from someone like Stacks and Stacks, which provide similar shaped designs, but at a discount and also with the option of finishing the entryway pieces whatever stain you'd like. Their storage bench is available for $189 and the wall shelf is priced at $149, for a total of $338 compared to $499-$549 Pottery Barn option.

Target also has an entryway collection that is priced even more affordably, though we suspect this is because the components are made of particle board opposed to real wood. At $250 total for bench and wall shelf, this might be a good bet if cost is the utmost concern.
