Yolk is one of those little boutique stores that is so sweet, artsy and pricey, that you have to wonder, how it pays its rent. They have all of the obligatory house warming gift merchandise, like those see-them-everywhere silk-screened pillows, good coffee table books and other little yummys.
They also have some interesting furniture and lots of baby stuff. If we had to buy something, it would have to be this super modern hobbyhorse. Perfect for the kid who doesnt like being too literal, and for the parents who dont like plastic toys cluttering up the house.
I have to say I've been in this store and the owner is so sweet and lovely that if I need an unusual gift I'd be happy to pay a little more for it!
I love Yolk - I never thought of it as unusually expensive or overpriced. They've got some great jewelry and handbags in addition to home & baby stuff.
And the candles are amazing!
Yolk is THE place to go for a unique gift for any age person. They have expanded their baby/kids section with tons of wonderful wooden toys, books, clothes, etc. Looking for unique home wares, this is the place!
