Look! Steampunk Case Mod Putting a bit of Frankenstein in Your PC

Case mods are always fun. It puts a different spin on the normal looking desktop, that we all want to hide away underneath our desks. I've just recently realized that desktop computers are slowly becoming a thing of the past. Slowly, but surely. Of course, a lot of people still have desktops, but let me assure you that there is a steady stream of users who will never buy a desktop.

This insane case mod is by Dana Mattocks who posted these incredible pictures of his steampunk Frankenstein computer on Flickr. I've seen more than a few case mods, but this one is definitely one for the books. It's almost a piece of art. Apparently it took him about a year to complete this mod. We have to say that it looks incredible.

The only thing I wonder is, what would a steampunk laptop look like? Now that would be something, because you couldn't just put all these things on it. The laptop's main function is to be portable, so I'd think that this would have to be preserved in a steampunk laptop mod. Anyway, check out the photos on Dana's flickr site.
