We first discovered photographer Amanda Jones at our neighborhood coffee shop, Grey Dog. Of course, the Grey Dog only cares for dogs, but Amanda photographs dogs cats and other animals (you should see the baby duck!)...

I met Marty Weiss four years ago. A creative soul and founder of two successful advertising companies, he kept finding himself in love with the skill and art of the photographers he worked with. He wanted to support them. He wanted to participate in getting their work to a larger audience. So, totally on the side, he created Meter Gallery, an online photography gallery that features limited edition, signed photographs from contemporary artists that he has personally met (along the way he also founded the Friday Photo Gallery here at AT with me, which he helps curate every other week)...

Staring at July's issue of Martha Stewart Living, we loved the bowls on the cover and suspected they were Bodum, but we'd never seen them before. We went digging and this is what we found...

Maybe it was a last year thing or maybe it's an evergreen, but I found myself thinking about the "For Like Ever" poster last night. I first saw it in Laure's apartment (above) in the spring of '07 and I just liked it. I like big bold art. I like stuff that's ridiculously positive...
Before I tip you into these three remarkable house tours, that also happen to have been absolute hits with our readers, I want to put in a good word for the latest edition of ID magazine, which I had the pleasure of reading from cover to cover last night. It continues to be intelligent, beautifully photographed, innovative and feisty. Check out BMW's Gina skin car, TAF Design, and Julie Lasky's diatribe against internet publications on page 16. She's dead on. The only problem is you can't read it, because it's not yet online. But it IS worth buying...
Yes, it's back. Just when you thought it was safe to redo your own bedroom, Top Design is coming back bigger and badder than ever t-o-n-i-g-h-t. While last season had the biggest audience for a new series on Bravo ever, this season the crew has been revamped, amped up and features a bold mix of new and familiar faces. While 13 new designers try their best, this year's panel is hosted by the glamorous India Hicks - fashion model and design aficionado - and brings back your favorite interior design experts, Jonathan Adler and Kelly Wearstler, along with Margaret Russell, the Editor In Chief of Elle Decor. Hey, what about Todd Oldham? Oh, he's back too...
Thursdays I zone in on something I've seen around town. This time I'm looking again at this fashionable wallpaper, that is becoming something of a classic, particularly as it is introduced in new colorways and used in new ways. I've rounded up a bunch of pics from people using it in cool and inventive ways.
Stay on the pulse with a double shot: blog + email. If you're not signed up, go for it right now (on the upper left nav).

I intially saw this bedroom posted on Design Sponge and thought it was very nicely done. I especially love the black chandelier.

my day bed.
in addition to my real bedroom, i have another one just for weekend midday napping, reading, work on my creative side, just being myself. it reflects myself well. vibrant, bubbly and not afraid of colors. but at the same time it's fuss-free.
