If you're in the Marais between now and Sunday, stop in the Espace Blancs Manteaux, where we visited last time for the annual recycled art salon La Métamorphose des Matériaux. This time it's highlighting emerging creators with a heavy emphasis on fashion and jewelry. But there were a few fun surprises for the home as well -- like these cheeky candles from Wakey. A few more discoveries below the jump.

The show also included sculptural lights made from springy plastic hosing by Paris-based designer Mauricette Cornand (mauricette.cornand@free.fr for info) that included gauzy soft-lit standing and table lamps and coiled sconces that made swirling shadows on the wall.

And cement tables and lamp bases from Mathilde Pénicaud, who is based in the South of France...

A New Zealand indie movie called Eagle vs. Shark featured a candle of a hand pointing upwards like these. In the movie, the character makes this candle for his dad. He later comments that his dad hated it.
As do I.

@Jeanne Rocca: The candles are brand new and they don't have a distributor yet. But I will post again when they become available.
