If you're lucky enough to be able to wallpaper in your home, you may want to check out this Jocelyn Warner Oval Shimmer Wallpaper. This beautiful hand-printed paper shimmers and changes color with the light. We love the calm, meditative colors and patterns of this British designer. The seller is located in Toronto, but even with shipping to the NYC area it's bound to be cheaper than buying it full price and having it shipped from London. One roll is probably sufficient for an accent wall.
As far as we are aware, this store is now closed.

Madeleine Guedj, the owner of La Cafetiere, will tell you that color is good and mixing colors is even better. Having opened her Chelsea store in 1999, she has since made a mark in her increasingly upscale neighborhood with her casual, brightly colored furniture, dinnerware and accessories that shout out, "Be playful! Express yourself!"
We've always had a fondness for rockers, particularly low-slung Danish-inspired ones like this Vintage Modern Rocking Chair for sale in our Classifieds. No word on the maker of this, and the cushions aren't original (they're Urban Outfitters). But considering it's structurally sound and comfortably worn in, that's nothing that a brilliant set of new cushions couldn't fix. The only caveat? It's in Syracuse, but the seller will ship.

Shimna is a lovely mystery. They have managed to create a whole new look and feel for the most basic of shapes and materials, creating pieces that are boxy but feminine, rough but cozy...

The holidays are just around the corner, and with that comes the need for wrapping paper, cards, invitations and a host of other paper items. So for a goldmine of paper supplies, Paper Presentation is the place to go...

Calling all Italian Designed Space Age Lounge Chair addicts! This green egg cup shaped chair is as comfortable to sit in as it is cool to look at. The chair swivels around on a plastic tulip shaped base. The upholstery has a few small age appropriate dark and light spots, but these do not detract at all from the overall appearance. No rips and the chair has no odor of smoke what so ever...Overall dimensions are: 30"wide by 26" deep. We can totally see this chair filling out a corner in our living room.

Gus* is the Toronto-based furniture company making a name for itself in the States after years of working through US distributors from its Canadian base camp. This carefully-edited collection is not as flashy as its typical ICFF neighbors, but the pieces are solid with cool, clean designs perfectly scaled to NYC apartment living...

This is a really interesting revamped Mid Century Modern Sofa. Frame is original, but the cushions and upholstery have all recently been done (we've had some busy DIY bees out there!). We like it, too, because of the holiday red - and the pattern rocks.

This newly upholstered Fabulous Black Lacquer Armchair has been redone in green velvet with a down filled cushion. The frame (originally from the 1900's) has also been refinished in a high quality black lacquer. This chair is a terrific example of how you can modernize and completely invigorate an old piece of furniture -- so yes, you SHOULD get that chair you found on Craigslist or saw at the Brooklyn Flea Market for $20 because with a little (or a lot) of TLC, it could look like this! Or... you could just buy this one.

Walking by Liza Sherman Antiques you can't help but turn your head and notice the eclectic and carefully selected pieces of furniture in the brightly painted shop. Beautiful and funky lamps, chairs, clocks and tables greet your eye, all a little off beat and and very hard to find...
