megtour-READtoppic.jpgThis week, we are taking a longer look at one of the prize-winning rooms from our recent Color Contest on Ohdeedoh. As Alex says, "the rest of the room is as lovely, well thought out and colorful as we knew it would be".

We also showed off a more affordable Eames elephant, ideas for a big kid room makeover, a baby picture/fine art mashup and a sweet house bird. All links below:

Eastern Fall Cure: Clearing the Path
Week Two - Weekend

Adam Insulating by chottomotto.
Wow, big work going on here. While this is not technically Cure only, Chottomotto says, "Making the new bathroom more energy efficient with insulation is my lovely fiance who is more determined to finish the bathroom since I started the Cure..."

cure102308.pngQuote of the Day: I had some trepidation in getting involved, since my place is so far from anything I see on AT. But the feedback is so encouraging and I'm definitely motivated to make some changes. I even scrubbed out the kitchen cupboards today, a miracle in itself!

Ok, it's Sunday, time to dive in or at least start to reflect on what you've been doing this weekend (or are in the middle of doing). Here's also A LINK to a week 2 Flickr thread started by East Village Amy that you shouldn't miss. I'm going to update the news now.

East #18 - Operation "Loo"

Apologies to HandyDan! He sent his entry to Chicago, but it was meant for NY.

Name: HandyDan
Location: Sharpsville, PA
Time: This can be done in 2 or more weekends. You can take your time and stretch it out over a longer , or if you have the time you don't have to wait til the next weekend to finish it. Work out your own comfort level. It took me about a week, but you are supposed to have fun doing it! - And You Will !!!
Cost: I spent about $60.00 but still had enough supplies let over to start another project or finish 1 or 2 small ones.

Dan says: "I decided to give the bathroom a little update and I had a few dollars to at least get started. The only thing worth salvaging was the vanity cabinets. 2 side cabinets with a formica board covering them and a sink in the center...." All the pics, tools, how-to and VOTING are below...
