Look at all that space. It's the collection of Multibox Furniture from Duravit. This collection is assembled in components: you choose from frames, mirror doors, storage cubbies, shelves and an optional accessory rail that holds a shaving mirror, toothbrush holder, and the like.
The exposed cubbies could be so useful for quick access to rubberbands, cotton balls, etc. And the wood frame gives this high end medicine cabinet a touch of warmth. The system is just the kind of versatile storage needed for the bathroom. But, expect to pay: prices are upwards of $1000, depending on what configuration you put together.
I'm looking for bathroom fixtures and saw these online just last week. They look great, but answer me this: do you really want your cotton balls, or any number of other bathroom-related things, exposed to the humidity generated by hot water? This whole thing with cutout-front drawers (see, for example, any number of West Elm pieces) is disconcerting. I'm sure they're cheaper to manufacture, but again, do you really want dust getting into your junk drawers?
I recently purchased the multibox but I'm not sure how to hang/install it. It came with no instructions and while I'm fairl good at these things, its not obvious.
Has anyone done installed one?
Cheers!
