Shower Octopus
Boston

showeroctopus.jpg

It's hard to resist this eager shower helper! If you don't have a lot of tub space and want an alternative to suction-cup or wire shelving, just hang the shower octopus in your shower and load him up with shampoo, shower gel and conditioner. Buying info after the jump..

I like this idea. Great DIY possibilities. Any ideas for the materials?

@quiltmaster: Looks like surgical tubing for the tentacles and you could probably halve a racquet ball or something for the body. Seems pretty straight forward.

yeah... waaaay too expensive for what it is. i bet most of us with an actual wire shelving system in our bathroom didn't drop that much.

This looks too messy for me...plus it costs $45?? That's a joke right??

It's $45 for "you didn't think of this first." The prototype was possibly akin to surgical tubing and decidedly became an octopus.

I will stay out of the price-point debate. I don't like this for me, but this idea (whether bought or hacked) is probably useful for some people.

It's very soap on a rope.

It does the job while looking awful at the same time? Do we have a winner her? NO!

I can just imagine those tentacles getting caught on things when getting into the tub/reaching for the shower head(I am such a klutz) or stretched out and dropping all the bath stuff into the tub.

It's kinda funky though. Definitely not $45 worth.

How do these ever get passed the 'design' stage?

I love it! I want one! I did just buy some hideous wire shelving last weekend - it was cheaper, but in no way attractive or interesting -wish I'd seen this first!

This is fugly. After a few showers and drippy bottles, it would be covered in soap scum. Yuck! And the price is even more of a turn-off than the product itself.

Cute idea, but messy in application. Also way too pricey.
