I have a Scandia Down comforter that I use year-round. It's incredible--totally worth the money.

Thanks for the intro to the HBC blankets. I'd never heard of them before.

Silk comforters are a wonderful alternative to down.

HBC blankets are the best, and have a very long history. They were used for trading for pelts in Canada, and have been around for hundreds of years.

I'm a canuck and have always loved the Hudson's Bay blanket, but... damn... those Swiss Army blankets are nice too.

The Slanket is the best blanket I've ever owned. Huge, warm, soft, and has sleeves. It's great stuff.

After coveting one for a while (see above) I bought one of the Swiss Army blankets off of ebay. It's a bit rougher than I had anticipated, but a couple of washes softened it up (and shrunk it down a bit).

It's way too small for a queen sized bed, but has happily found a spot folded across the back of my favorite leather club chair. :)
