Alfredo Hberli's LegnoLetto Modular Beds

Modern Slumber. We've admitted being fans of all things modular but Beds? Alfredo Hberli's LegnoLetto Beds are produced by Alias and various headboards and footboards allow the consumer to create the modern bed of their choice...

The bed platforms are made of solid beechwood and vented to aid in air circulation. Legs are die-cast aluminum and available in a variety of finishes. Because the bed is made up of various components, the bed is easy to ship and move.

This option shows a "standard" headboard at both ends, creating an attractive daybed...

We're especially fond of the extended headboard. It keeps things off the floor and makes it easy to vaccuum!

Finishes in maple, weng or with matte lacquer in white, orange, acid green, cedar, silver, black.

Design Within Reach sells the LegnoLetto Wide Headboard Bed and the LegnoLetto Standard Headboard Bed in white.

Isn't this the bed that Moss has had hanging on their wall in white for a while? If so, it's GORGEOUS!

LOVE this! Too bad DWR only carries the white finish. I mean, why take perfectly good SOLID wood and lacquer it up? I'll take the extra wide in natural!

hejiranyc - it looks like you can order the natural wood version (and additional colors and sizes) through Cassina in NYC.

I bought this bed from Moss when they carried it. It assembles quickly and is extremely comfortable. I love the 11" clearance underneath.

Alfredo Haberli is one of my favorite designers. Like the idea and the headboard, but the legs seem a bit insect-like and look like you could trip over them quite easily, esp. when walking back from the bathroom in the dark. But why do they seem that way to me? It's not as if they stick out beyond the bed platform itself. Probably just they way they are structured.

If it's from DWR that means I can't afford it. Hopefully Ikea will come up with a similar version
