Hello, Moon. We helped some friends rearrange their apartment for their incoming baby and bought them this lamp. Little did we know it would become their favorite thing. Costing a mere $6.99 at Ikea, the SMILA MÅNE wall lamp casts a soft, pleasing glow (put in a real small bulb), and is all you need when all the other lights are off.
We are told that little Luca stares up at his moon light longingly when he gets his diapers changed in the middle of the night. Think of what effect it could have on a willing date...

I got one of these based on this origial post, but I'm sad to say I didn't like it. Way too much bright light comes out of the sides since the lamp is not flush with the wall. Maybe I should have found a single christmas bulb. But strike two was that baby wanted to pull and play with dangling cord.
Oh, I do hope they aren't changing too many diapers in the middle of the night!
We were advised by experienced parents *and* our pediatrician not to change diapers in the middle of the night unless absolutely necessary. It is hard enough for them to learn to sleep through the night ;-)
The best advice we got as new parents was to keep nighttime feedings boring. No eye contact, no playing, no talking, no lights, nothing that might be the least bit stimulating. Our daughter was sleeping through the night in no time.
we love this! my daughter also has the coordinating big sun shaped light + a big cloud. the walls + ceiling are aqua + they look like the sky. we just put in a 31x31" skylight too so she can see the real moon, sun, clouds + stars too.
