Blogging New York Magazine: 2.26.07

Party Space. New York Magazine has a new addition to their Home Design section in this week's issue. A former Polish dance hall, the loft of Phillip Rossini and Joe Ponciano in Williamsburg is a treasure of unique furnishings and personal style. Be certain to check out the lamps Joe makes out of cable ties and chicken wire!...

Though a large number of furnishings are street finds, the footnoted images are a great resource for various sources. Check out the video on the first page.

We love that New York Magazine is regularly venturing into every-day interiors — they are one of a few print publications that make it fun and interesting.

I was one of their party crashers! Glad to know I made the "throw-down-the-key" cut...

I don't know if this is the place for it, this isn't a comment about whatever it is we're supposed to be commenting on. I just have a question and I couldn't find a place for general questions.

I'm looking for an end table or two to put on either side of my couch. It's black leather. It's between two doorways and there's not much room on either side. The dimensions I'm looking for are: 10" wide max, 18" high, max, front to back length 17"-24" max of 30", but I'd rather it be closer to 17". A round or oval table could be a bit wider than 10", maybe 12"-14".

My Living Room furniture is from Ikea, the Bonde line. It's black and beach finished.

If I found a table that was right, but too tall and it wasn't some art museum piece, I could cut the legs down, which I'm considering doing with another table that's taller than the arm of the chair it sits next to.

Really, Olga? I thought that story was really boring. I am finding New York magazine disappointing lately, though. That is one the rare articles not slavering over rich people, though.

This featured apartment, by the way, is amazing. That kitchen would drive me mad, though, because nothing looks handy to grab while cooking.
