Flatbush was named one of the Best Places to Buy an Old House because of its Victorian-era housing stock. TOH stated prices range from $600,000 to $900,000 and that a good reason to buy here right now is that Brooklyn real estate values are not likely to decline in this slump.

YAY!!!
this is my neighborhood. we've lived in midwood for four generations, and i often go walking in fiske terrace/old midwood/ditmas to take photos of the big beautiful brooklyn houses - the old victorians are drop dead gawjus.
this makes me happy.
it's an area of brooklyn that, while known, gets so little love!!

I think Flatbush is the most beautiful neighborhood in Brooklyn.

I live on the opposite coast but always have been intrigued with Flatbush and like to visit that area while I am in Manhattan.
That house is so darn cute I want it so bad.
Hey kdkaboom you must know of DiFara's pizza? I crave that pie, what a place.

I was just walking in the Ditmas Park area last week for the first time and I fell in love with the area! I hope it doesn't get too much press because I'd want to move there before the prices go sky high like everywhere else in NYC.
