Look! Shed Life
Washington DC

shack life.jpgCheck out this post on Lifehacker. Brian Dehamer needed a work space, but with the arrival of a new baby extra space was something they just couldn’t find inside their house…

He bought a pre-fab shed, retro fitted it with electricity and phone lines, painted and decorated it, and now he has a completely functional little office behind his house. To see more pictures of the process, go to his post on Lifehacker.

i can't imagine it's the best place to be in the extreme heat or cold, but it is pretty sweet!

Back in this heyday, Christopher Lowell outfitted a shed as a guest house. Pretty much the same concept, exept for desk, a bed, or daybed, chair, desk, etc. Anybody remember?

What kind permit did he have to get for that??
Those are illegal in my state (VA). They are considered ADU's (Accessory Dwelling Units).

It reminds me of the Nick Drake song, "Man in the Shed." LOVE it.
