The newest addition to the Caravaggio series is the Caravaggio Opal — instead of an opaque metal shade, the Opal's shade is translucent white glass. This provides a softer light than the original design:

Caravaggio is produced by LightYears. Available from Nova 68 in high gloss lacquered aluminum in black or white. Opal version features a glass shade. Black lamp comes with red cord and white lamp comes with a dark grey cord. The small pendant starts at $195.

I love the Caravaggio pendant lamps, I'm a professional designer and was able to purchase them from the importer at the New York Design Center .... they have them on display and can deliver them quickly... I received mine in three days.
