Clothing Storage. After our initial visit, we returned to Mitchell Gold & Bob Williams to further investigate the Delano Family of casegoods. While we liked the clean lines, mid-century styling, and integrated drawer pulls we especially liked the height of the above pieces that would help us take advantage of our vertical space...
The six-drawer dresser and drawer and door chest are both taller than most dressers and sell for $1195, each. (Mitchell Gold & Bob Williams does not list prices online. We have a catalog that does list prices.) The rest of the beech veneered Delano Family is attractive too (very Heywood Wakefieldish):
The three-piece
Brady family at Crate & Barrel has a chestnut finish. We're assuming the Brady family is supplied to C&B from MGBW. This
six-drawer dresser sells for $1099.

I would love to see these with squared stainless steel legs. For some reason I find those dainty little tapered legs somewhat irritating.

These look even better IRL at ABC Carpet. The proportions of the tiered end table, the most shameless Heywood Wakefield knockoff of the bunch, are off, but the dressers are nice.

Wow - I spent a weekend refinishing a dead ringer for that tall dresser that my ex-girlfriend picked up at a yard sale for $20. I did the wide wood handles with a darker stain than the drawer fronts to add some contrast. Shame I couldn't keep it. The dresser not the relationship.

yes, the brady casegoods are manufactured by MGBW and sold exclusively through Crate & Barrel: the non-tiered nightstand and wood finish are available there alone. And although I havent seen the MGBW finishes, I love the C&B one, its very rich and deep, with an almost metallic shine to it. I also think its funny that it cost more to buy directly from the manufacturer, I always thought it was supposed to save you money to cut out the middleman!

Ryan — I also thought it was odd that the C&B chest was less expensive. On another interesting note, for those that live in Manhattan, C&B's flatrate shipping is $60 when MGBW's flatrate shipping is $100.
