Dear AT,
My roommate and I are having a bathroom makeover, and ventured to Ikea to buy some Molger wooden wall shelves.
Unfortunately, they were out - and they are not available online - and the friendly Ikea people told us they are not expecting a new order anytime soon, if at all...

My question is: where can we find a similar shelf?
We have looked everywhere to no avail.
Thanks! Bizzy
Why don't you check if they have it in some of the IKEA NJ stores?

did you check ebay?

craigslist.org -- under free, or wanted or for sale-furniture might net you some results.
Ebay too.

Call around to the other NY area stores -- including New Haven, which is well stocked.

well, i have exactly THIS shelf and it is still packed cuz i never used it. i could put it on ebay but i live in germany and i have zero experience with shipping to USA.
i fear this would be very high shipping costs. but if you care you can get in touch with me.

My experience with IKEA is the employees don't know when more of something will come in. Most of the time they'll tell you they don't know to cover their bases, but it could magically show up tomorrow if you're lucky. check the website often; there's a place up there where you can check the stock at your local store. good luck!

The post doesn't state which store you went to, but according to the website the shelves are in stock at the Elizabeth, Paramus, Long Island, and CT stores.

thanks for the advice, everyone. turns out that particular employee knew not of what he spoke. we called the store back after finding online that the shelf was supposed to be "in stock" at the L.I. store.
so we went back. turns out they are now storing that shelf in the showroom instead of the marketplace and haven't told any of their employees about it. we found it and are very happy.

So glad to hear you found it. IKEA can be confusing, not just for first-timers, but for regulars and for the employees.
