Bartholdi Park: Garden Inspiration

Bartholdi Park with fountian.jpg

Looking for inspiration for your own little patch of land? Bartholdi Park sits just behind the Botanical Garden’s Conservatory off the National Mall. If you've been to the conservatory recently, chances are you may have missed this little oasis entirely...

Bartholdi Park.jpgThe meticulously cared for garden reflects each season with charm and precision. It is broken up into intimate geometric sections surrounding the magnificent fountain centerpiece (designed by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, who also designed the Statue of Liberty). The Fountain is currently under renovation, but still quite impressive.

Intended to showcase modern trends in residential landscaping to inspire the home gardener,
the garden boasts a variety of design themes throughout. Find your way to one of several secluded benches and chairs worked into the landscape – where you can sit, relax and contemplate your next do-it-yourself project. We love to sit and drink our coffee here on a Saturday morning – at least until we actually do something with our own garden.
