Lightbulb Greenhouse by Instructables

Last week we found out how to make a flower box out of a credit card. Now this little project, also from Instructables, makes an incandescent light bulb into a symbol of green, not waste...

The Lightbulb Greenhouse turns the bulb into a self-sufficient little planter and, placed in a sunny location, is perfect for sprouting some little herb seeds. The example shown here is being used to grow mint. Instructables found the idea in the June 08 edition of Popular Science.

It looks neat there, but what happens when the plant outgrows the bulb? You'd need to either break the bulb or seriously damage the plant to get it out.
