Looking for handmade, local wares for your home? A vase, a set of matching tumblers or maybe just a piece of sculpture? Take the Red Line to Porter Square...

Mudflat Studio is a non-profit, professionally run ceramics school and home to 18 clay artists in Somerville, MA. In addition to two annual Open Studio Sales in May and December, they also showcase a year-round collection of claywork by 47 Mudflat artists, faculty and students in the Porter Square Shopping Center. One Mudflat artist is featured in the gallery each month.
The Gallery is open Monday-Saturday 10am-7pm and Sundays 12-5pm. The pieces are all unique and beautifully made so support your local artists and go check it out!
Mudflat rocks! Great variety, great prices. I lived near Porter for 7 years and that was my go-to place for cool, unique gifts.

damn i was thinking porter square was some subway stop somewhere in ny that i've never been too. i love the pics of some of mudflats products before the jump. but i am disappointed to find that this is all the way in boston. same thing when i find something i love is all the way in d.c.
i'm looking forward to when AT finally creates links just for boston & just for d.c. !!
