The glasses are intended for: spirit, port/prosecco/dessert wine, wine, water and cognac/brandy. Without seeing these in person, we can guess that they are much smaller than they appear � if one pictures the cognac glass as comfortable to grip, the rest of the pieces' relative size are much smaller. The widest cognac glass has a 4" diameter. While very expensive for an individual place setting, a single set would make a wonderful grouping of bud vases.
