This is a cruel corruption of eames--the lightness of the design is violated by the clunky bases attached to the chairs.
For a salon, I can see how this would be a step up from the padded vinyl monstrosities we usually see...but in a private home? NOT. NOT. NOT.

Oh, I don't know, Gail. The votes are split. In the right unself-conscious space, one could be fun.

Well, no, I don't think they're great for anyone's home, although they might be KIND of a kick if you think about it.
But I'm picturing them in a salon with a white poured epoxy VERY shiny floor, so that those clunky bases seem light and airy, and so the hair that gets cut can be easily seen and swept.
And since it says that they're a purplish black, perhaps the wall could be a white color with only the slightest hint of lavender, so it basically just looks like white with lavender-flavored air.

im not so sure these chairs would work in a home setting. they are not at all welcoming to when you see them. yes they might indeed say i have more money than i know what to do with but refreshing i think not.

Hmmm, it seems to be missing something...maybe a dark shag rug to imitate the hair clippings.

I think having *one* of them is a pretty cool idea, but I think they are a little "heavy" to be used as, say, as dining chairs.
