
This year's Kips Bay Decorator Show House is not a townhouse — it's six apartments in the Manhattan House apartment building on East 66th Street. Built in 1950, the modernist block of apartments all feature eight-and-a-half-foot ceilings and similar boxy layouts. The twenty-two designers involved have the challenge of creating unique spaces within almost identical blank canvases. I just got back after spending nearly 3 hours there. Talk about being in hog heaven. If you can go on Tuesday and Thursday late nights I highly recommend it. I can only imagine the weekend being a zoo.
