Expandable Dining Table from Poggenpohl

2-11-poggenpohl-table-1.jpgWhile we're lost on the choice to use palm fronds when styling these photos, the premise behind Poggenpohl's expandable dining table is a good one: multi-functional furniture has tremendous value. We've looked at coffee tables, drop-leaf dining tables, and even unique transforming tables like Paolo Pallucco's Campo d'oro, but this new table incorporates various pieces of multi-use furniture for a custom dining solution...

Unlike traditional leaf tables, the longer sides of this table pull apart. The space in between holds modular stainless steel plates, a cutlery box or cutting board and space for two trolleys.

The table is available in stone or MDF. Designed by Draenert for Poggenpohl. With the right modifications, similar pieces from IKEA and West Elm could be used to mimic this design. Via: Trendir.
