These Classic Glass Containers are updated a bit from a truly old apothacary jar: the tops seal tight so you can use the containers to store pastas, flour, sugar, etc. The sale prices at Chef's Catalog range from $22 to $35, or get a set of three for $80.

imagine a buffet side table in your kitchen with 20 of these with lighted pillar candles in them (with the lids off, of course)...i don't care what's for dinner, i'm coming just for the atmosphere that these would make.
