I really like this- and kitchen timers usually don't do anything for me. The magnetic feature is what did it i think...Sign me up for a yellow one.

I bought this timer from Anthropologie, but the buzzer never worked well. I went through three of them before I finally gave up! It's a shame, its so cute!

Thanks for the tip, asmith. I love the idea of analog kitchen timers, but I've purchased too many of them with bad buzzers.

I'm a total believer in form following function, and on the surface, a non-working timer sounds useless, but then, my "cooking" is pretty much limited to toast, so a silent buzzer will be fine. Thanks for the heads-up.

I'm a fan of the Michael Graves timer at Target - it has a sweet nostalgic "brrrrrrrinnnnnnngggg!" when time is up.

I just purchased the blue one and I love it! I had the same issue with the buzzer not going off or just very silently at first. Then my husband looked at it and said that his grandma had an old timer that you had to wind further up and then back to where you want to time it from. This will give the buzzer a "charge". We do this every time and it works beautifully. Sometimes, in this digital and automatic world we live in we forget how to use simple mechanical contraptions. :)

I have this one and feline is right--I think the red arrow indicates you need to go past the 15 minute mark and then set to whatever you need. I've been making my two-minute eggs with it just fine.

you have to wind it clockwise to 55, then counter-clockwise to the appropriate amount of time. i bought this timer at a gift shop and it came with instructions. strange; does the anthropologie one not come with instructions?
