The butterflies may be a bit much, but we love creative uses of felt and wanted to put this up as a sweet lamp and a great DIY.
Designed by Mixko and made by Innermost, the wool felt shade covers a bulb fixture (CFL only, they say!) and casts a soft, luxurious glow. Spotted in MetHome and available at all these places.
We have this in our entryway and it lets off a nice, gentle light. Attracts many comments too.
interesting i walked through west elm this evening and some of the early spring deliveries are in, some pieces feature butterfly and insect motifs.

Butterflies (and dragonflies) are always a consistent seller regardless of season or year. I saw this shade a few weeks ago and loved the idea, but I'm not one of those butterfly buyers, unfortunately ;-) I'd like to see some other shapes and designs.
