Fortuny Lights by Mariano Fortuny

These are definite classics. The Fortuny Lights, designed by Mariano Fortuny in the early 1900's, are photographer-style fixtures and are absolutely stunning.

The design is available in a floor lamp, table lamp, and pendant fixture. We were really wowed by the new printed "Ornaments" version shown above.

Each fixture has a cotton or metal shade with a diffuser on a steel armature. The prices on these are a bit steep, anywhere from about $800 to $4000, but are easy on the eyes nonetheless.

The Ornament lights are gorgeous, but they're much better suited to a sparse loft than my home. Just as well since the standing ones seem to be ~US$3800. I'd love to see one close up though.

(I'm guessing Fortuny was a breast man.) These are really pretty and very contemporary looking.

V funky; I love the original standing ones. Perfect for a large studio or loft space!! At that price, it's all you need as an ascent piece in a minimalistic space.

What about the pendant pictured? Where can one find a retailer for it?
