Dining? Position the lamp over your table. Reading nearby? Turn the lamp to light the pages over your shoulder. We love this take on his bubble lamps so much, we want one for our own. Plus, it's a simple installation, as it comes with a plug-in cord: no hard-wiring required. $325 at Design Within Reach.

Does anyone know where I can find a similar mounting bracket? Looks like a great alternative to putting a hook in the ceiling to hang a pendant in a dim corner of our bedroom.

I love this light! But I have never seen one in person and DWR does not have these wall sconces in the store. Do you know where I can actual see one before purchasing?
Thanks!

I bought one of these years ago at Modernica and love it. If you live in an apartment and can't hardwire a chandelier, it's the perfect solution. (So long as you don't mind the chandelier part hanging close to the wall, that is—and in tiny New York City apartments, that's usually not a drawback.)

I absolutely love the idea of these arc style, swiveling type lamps. This, the Prouve, the Arco all have unique functionality as they can be swiveled from one area to the other depending on where you would like to concentrate the light.
I have seen a vintage one of the Nelson style version above and was a bit surprised by how chinsy it seemed. The arm reminded me of an aluminum pup tent post.
The modern interpretation above seems a little sturdier. The pole looks like a different metal and it has that wood bracket.
It's tough, all these lamps are really expensive. I'm still impressed with one ATer's diy version of a wall mounted swiveling lamp:

I am new to this site and simply love it. Have been looking at these sconces for awhile and have been wondering.... would the Nelson cigar lamp work beside a bed in lieu of a lamp on a nightstand? Or is the scale too big? Thoughts? King bed, btw. Thanks!
