Dept. of Light. Being a Manhattanite, we don't get out to JC Penney almost ever, but we were so delighted to get this tip about their colorful and super cheap lamps, that we had to post it.

JC Penny has really great inexpensive lamps in general. I don't think they are all listed on the web site, so a trip to the suburbs may be in order.
There's a JC Penney convieniently located to the subway in Queens. Take the R, V, or G to Woodhaven Blvd and it is located right upstairs in the Queens Center mall. (For a much faster ride from Manhattan take the F or E express to Roosevelt Ave and then transfer to the R, V, or G local)
I just ordered a pair in green for my bedroom. Thanks apartment therapy for the tip. I was desperately looking for inexpensive lamps. At that price, I could just toss them when I get sick of them.
