Light & Color. Ping Magazine has an interesting story on art director Takayuki Senzaki's creative use of origami in the identity of Lights of the Ancient City of Dazaifu" exhibition. The color and dramatic shadows are a fun reminder about the power of DIY. We believe some of the inexpensive chandliers from IKEA would make an excellent framework to hang your own origami...

Origami was one of my childhood hobbies and I used to do this. My grandmother would hang up the animals on her ceilling fan and it would become a type of chandelier. But the pieces of paper became quite dusty and she would have to take them down-- they really couldn't be cleaned.

a basic embroidery hoop works pretty well. I made one for our apartment (i used a metal hoop at first but switched to a wooden hoop and invisible wire).
