we have 5 side-by-side windows that are floor to ceiling and since we look out over a traffic circle. When the time comes closer we are going to use them to spell O B A M A for the whole world to see. i must wait till october though...

I don't see why people are so bothered by this post...I think its great! If someone wants to place their support for something and display it on their window in an artsy way, then all the FREEDOM to him/her.

I like that site but it's pretty vicious. To keep AT stress-free maybe we should direct all interested political posters to that site?

I'm personally not interested in seeing political views expressed on AT.

There's a brownstone on Park Place in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn with the faces of Carter, Nixon, and someone else I could never figure out, over the lintels(?) of its 1st floor windows. I wonder if I have a photo of it around here somewhere...

Political crap in windows. Yeah, real novel design concept there. I would have never thought of that had I not seen it on AT.

Would be better with another shot of a McCain house. So it doesn't seem to one-sided.

political stuff in the windows, as anti-design as you can get regina. i say take it to the streets, create a scene in union square, and make politics a living thing not a yellowing dusty sign in a 3rd floor window.

At my old house I had a sticker next to the door saying my home was a queer positive space. During elections I'd put up election posters for Canada's NDP party. I few years ago at my work my boss suggested the office bulletin board was getting crowded with my various political postings (tehe).

This is a nice post about how people decorate their windows with their fav polititians.
NO ONE is asking if you love/hate Obama or McCain.

Get over it people. If you don't like the post, then GET THEE TO ANOTHER. Stop trying to make things miserable for the rest.

You don't understand. This post is political and it's about supporting Obama. I'm all for democracy and the political process but this really isn't the place for it.

If you're miserable -- that's inside of you. No one can change that but you.

Regardless of the candidate, I don't like political posters.

This post had nothing to do with design or "participating in politics." The window display isn't creative, pretty, or well executed. There are no pics or discussion of other candidates.

The post is a pretty blatant plug for Obama. It even includes a link to the Obamessiah's homepage.

As for just "moving on" if we don't like the post, I doubt anyone would find that the appropriate response if AT writers decided to use posts to pimp for rightwing candidates or issues.
