Smelling it. We spent the weekend in and around the Short North arts district of Columbus, Ohio. Our tour guide whisked us into Paul Robinett's Aromatherapy Candle Shop for a quick look at the 70 scents offered. Made in the small retail space at 7 Buttles in Short North, we recognized the distinctive black labels of the candles from Club Monaco and other large retailers...

So how were they?
What were you doing in Columbus?!
That's my hometown! Who knew that they've actually got some hip stuff there now!
Columbus Ohio isn't just football you know! i live in the Short North and love every minute of it. had i known you were coming i would've baked a coffee cake and had you up for brunch. let me know next time. i love to entertain. and yes, the Sho' No' is quite a fun place to find unique lil gifts and trinkets and what-nots.
i live within walking distance of that store (i'm in the victorian village). i LOVE walking by the store. it's almost as great as walking in. they almost always have candles outside. so, yes, they are wonderful. my only gripe is that they only come in 1 size, but seeing as how there are walls & walls of choices, i don't blame them.
*also, yes columbus has some great areas now. some of the worst areas like the short north, victorian village, & arena district have become very trendy, hard to rent areas. it's nothing but great dining, galleries, & cute little shops. & if you come during gallery hop it can be fun if for nothing more than people watching. haha
I agree, working in the short north is great but I don't think I would want to live there. There are neighborhoods just as cool in Columbus for a lot less rent. I'm glad to see Columbus recognized for something other than the Buckeyes. I'm very curious to see what else someone from the big city enjoyed in this cowtown.
I stopped into the shop in mid November and was quickly sucked into the cult of fragrance that is Paul Robinett.
I had my doubts at first, then i fell in love, then i bought a case to resell at my shop and ended up burning them all!
It really wasn't the ROI I expected, but marvelous nonetheless.
my favorites: #55 champa, #41 Tomato Leaf, #14 Evergreen (reminds me of an old Macy's scent they packaged in an aerosol can at Christmas)
Daniel, is your shop at the address on Bryden on your website? I live down in OTE and didn't know there was a shop down there. Kind of off topic, sorry everyone.
Yipes! I don't know Paul Robinett or his product but I have seen his videos on youtube and I get an "ego-gone-wild" vibe off that guy. I find him disturbing enough that I won't be buying his candles anytime soon.
Paul's store is great! I love his candles! ;)

I love Paul and his shop! He uses his great personality and kooky ego in the most effective way possible! I think his videos are out of control, but so fun! His candles are THE BEST!!!
My shop is actually in clintonville. 13 East Tulane. But I'm an internet business, so the best way to find me is skreened.com
Went through the store recently -- what a treat for anyone interested in aromatherapy, candles or holistic medicine. Incredible candles, will be buying more soon.
Thanks,
